Lovely Earth is a Fine Garden & Estate Maintenance company serving Southern Maine and the Seacoast of New Hampshire.
We specialize in recurring weekly and biweekly care for established gardens, ornamental trees and shrubs, perennial borders, seasonal plantings, and professionally landscaped properties.
Our work is hands-on, detailed, and built around long-term relationships with the properties we maintain. By returning throughout the season, we get to know the gardens, understand how they change, and provide the consistent care needed to keep them looking their best.
We believe good service is pretty simple: show up, do careful work, communicate clearly, respect the property, and leave things better than we found them.
We take pride in the small details — a clean bed edge, thoughtful pruning, a walkway blown clean before we leave, or noticing something in the garden before it becomes a larger problem.
We are gardeners first. We care about the plants, the property, and the people who trust us to look after them.
Our goal is not to be the biggest landscape company. It is to build a small, experienced team that does consistently excellent work for a group of properties we know well.
Our approach goes beyond checking boxes on a service list.
We look at how the gardens fit together, how the property presents as a whole, and what needs attention throughout the season. Over time, that familiarity allows us to care for a property more thoughtfully and make useful recommendations when improvements or additional attention would benefit the gardens.
For active maintenance clients, that may also include seasonal plantings, replacement plants, bulbs, small garden enhancements, or other details that naturally come up as we care for the property.

Founded by Emma Hayes, Lovely Earth grew from a genuine love of plants, horticulture, and working outdoors. Emma studied Sustainable Food and Farming at UMass Amherst, and years of hands-on experience caring for residential gardens helped shape the company into what it is today.
Our team works closely together throughout the season — weeding, pruning, deadheading, planting, cleaning, and caring for the details that keep a property looking its best. We believe professionalism means more than simply completing a list of tasks. It means showing up, knowing the property, respecting the gardens and the people who live there, and taking pride in the work before we leave.
